Technical resources in Spanish
Hello! I work at a greenhouse and am trying to open bilingual communications. At the moment we have many informal words for things like "callus" and "crown" to describe our tissue culture plants but would love to know the actual terms for them (and other plant parts) in Spanish so we can educate everyone equally. Do you know of a good Spanish resource with technical plant terms, maybe a college or university text we can create a dictionary from? Thank you!
I could suggest these dictionaries:
1. Thomson's Spanish-English English-Spanish Illustrated Agricultural Dictionary Paperback – February, 1993. This is very basic but could be useful.
3. Diccionario de floricultura Ball/Ball Floriculture Dictionary: English-Spanish/Spanish-English with Spanish Definitions – July 1, 1995.
In my Extension and outreach program I do bilingual education for nurseries and greenhouse's workers. I will be glad to customize a training for your workers that could help them to learn new technical words.
