The attached photos are for diagnostics purpose of a disease on my plum tree in my backyard. I purchase the tree five years ago from Home Depot in Waldorf Maryland. The tree was purchased with another plum tree which had similar problems but it cleared up after about two years. In 2014 the tree in the photos did produce fruits and the fruit ripened and was harvested but I am worried about the remaining maturity and life of the tree. If there is any advice you can provide to treat the disease it is greatly appreciated. The trees are planted in my backyard in Accokeek Maryland.

There are cankers and trunk damage. The only thing that you can do to help the tree is to water deeply in time of drought. You might consider replacing the tree. There are no sprays that will fix the tree. vw
