I recently purchased a few snowdrops which were blooming. Now they have finishing blooming. Is it ok to plant them in the garden now or do they need some dormant time?

Snowdrops are the exception to the rule for bulbs in that they do well when transplanted while "in the green." Plant them where you want them but mark the site in some way as they will soon go dormant and literally disappear.
