White Oak Trees - Checking for Root Rot

Asked February 8, 2015, 2:14 AM EST

Several large, apparently healthy white oaks have recently fallen in our neighborhood. It appears that they rotted at the base. Should our trees be checked for rot at the base? Should that be done by an arborist? How often? Thank you.

Shirley and arborist is qualified to diagnose your oak trees. Based on the arborist findings a schedule could be figured out.
