can I grow parsnips in the same garden bed after growing carrots I live in the SW of VICTORIA, AUSTRALIA. Thank you. GRAEME WOOD

Hello Graeme,

Did you have any problems with disease or insect pests on your carrots? Carrots and parsnips are closely related and pests may build up in your garden bed over time and could cause damage.

If you can, plant another crop such as a legume before planting the parsnips. That may lead to a healthier soil and not allow pests to build up in your garden bed.
