Invasive Phylodendron- Herbicide

Asked January 18, 2015, 1:34 PM EST

I am down in Puerto Rico. I have being trying to get rid of some type of Philodendron in a area of bout 1.5 acre. Its very common in PR , especially, in the more humid mountainous regions. It grows particularly well in the shadows, low light areas, it takes over the entire area in very short time. I have not being able to identify which specie it is, but I will send pictures if necessary in order to help to identify and find a solution to my problem. I need a herbicide, a combination of herbicides , diesel oil, whatever needed to kill and get rid of this obnoxious plant.

Thanks for your help !
