Can dryer lint be composted?

Can dryer lint be composted?

Any fibers from man-made fabrics would not break down in a compost pile. I'm referring to nylons, rayons, polyesters, Lycra, etc. Cotton and wool fibers will compost but even those would provide pretty limited nutrients to the compost.
