Grading of wool clothing articles.

Retailers use the term of; 100 percent premium lamb's wool. I believe this to be a false ad

and would like for the retailer to define the term of "Premium Lambs Wool"

Thank you, Robert B. Shuler

I contacted a representative from the

American Wool Council
a division of the American Sheep Industry Association (ASI)

to research your question.

The definition of Lambswool is wool which is 50mm or shorter from the first shearing of any breed of sheep, usually around 7 months old. The word premium is a retail term. The representative from the American Wool Council suggested you ask the retailer what the term means at that establishment.
