Texas Tree Identification

Asked November 25, 2014, 5:06 PM EST

I have researched identifying a tree in my Bryan, TX yard, but have not had any luck. I would describe the leaf as Simple, Alternating, Deltoid (or Obicular) with a Truncated base. The leaves kind of look like cottonwood leaves, but I doubt that is right... the fruit and trunk don't seem to match from what I've seen. It is fast growing. I got these descriptions from the TAMU Forestry Service's Tree ID site, but am not sure how to apply this knowledge (if I even got it correct!) Thank you for your help. Pictures attached.
