We have 1 black walnut tree in our yard and it produces nuts but they are not good. They are soft, wet feeling and dark brown. They do not dry out and spoil. Do we need to do some type of fertilizer treatment or have another tree. We have 5,000 black walnut trees planted 1/4 mile away in a CRP program. Thank you. Steve & Mari Ward
