over wintering canna from my water garden

Asked November 1, 2014, 4:58 PM EDT

I know this zone is too cold for canna to survive the winter. Is there any difference in the process of overwintering (cutting back foliage, drying out rhizome, and storing in dry spot w/ light moisture attention)? Is there anything different about reintroducing them to the pond in the summer? Thank you

No, the canna lily should be the same since you are planting them near the garden rather than in the water. http://extension.psu.edu/plants/master-gardener/counties/adams/news/2012/canna-lilies-care-winteriza... discusses the care of canna lilly.
