Apple Tree Variety question.
I'm wanting to find out what variety of apple tree I have as it produces great apples but it has been slowing dying the last few years and I'd like to replace it with the same kind. I could bring the apples to someone knowledgable. I've looked at several websites before but just not sure which it is. It has relatively late maturing fruit late Oct. and has a very sweet apple which turns red when exposed to the sun. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

It is very difficult to identify apples. I 'm sorry I won't be able to help you.
Thanks for your response. Perhaplease it might be easier if I start to graft some branches next spring.
