We live in Chardon, do you know what our soil ph is without doing a soil...
Carol, There is no real way way to know the pH of your soil without doing a soil test. Anything else would be merely a guess and "gardening on guesswork" isn't a good way to begin any type of garden. We have soil test kits available here in our Geauga office, on the County Fairgrounds, for $10.67, which includes an accurate soil analysis providing soil pH, and levels of Phosphorus, Potassium, Calcium, and Magnesium. A pretty good deal.
Hope this helps,
