winterizing boxwoods

two questions regarding how to prevent winter damage to boxwoods. 1.Should I spray my boxwood with an agricultural antidessicant before the winter comes 2. Should I cover my boxwood with burlap to prevent freezing damage . If yes to both questions when would this have to be done. thank you, Angela

It is better to construct a burlap screen around your boxwoods to prevent wind injury. Anti-dessicants can also be applied according to label instructions. See the following link for more information on winter protection for evergreens:
