McShay apple

Asked October 11, 2014, 4:28 PM EDT

OSU was assigned this apple cultivar from the PRI apple breeding program and further assigned to Carlton Plants.I have unsuccessfully been trying to get scion or bud wood of this variety for evaluatiopn in my orchard location near Wenatchee, WA. Would someone in the horticulture department at OSU have access to propagating material and be able to send it to us? Jack/ Feil 1908 Family Orchard. 13073 SR 2, East Wenatchee, WA 98802

I contacted Shawn Mehlenbacher at OSU. He was involved in the PRI program in the 1980s. He indicated that there are no longer any McShay trees at OSU and provided the contacts included below at other institutions he thought might be able to provide scionwood.
