Hi, I've harvested Black Walnuts and I understand that the juglone in the leaves and husk are toxic to some animals and most plants. I've read that they should not go into compost or mulch piles. What should be done with the discarded juglone husks and shells of these walnuts? Thank you, Jessie

Send the husks and shells to the dump or put them where the juglone will not affect any plants adversely. vw
