I currently raise rabbit for personal consumption in Wayne county Ohio. I am interested in learning how I can begin raising rabbit to sell at our local farmers market and possibly the local co op produce store. Thanks!

Hi -

The rules are posted on the ODA website under the Food Safety Division, here:
http://www.ohioagriculture.gov/divs/FoodSafety/foodsafety.aspx#tog

You are asking about farmers markets, so you need to click on Factsheets, then farmers markets. In general, you can sell at a Farm Market (that is, a location on your prooperty where you are raising the animals) without having to get a license.

If you desire to sell at a farmers market or the co-op store, you'll need additional licensing. To get the most up to date information, you can cal ODA at 800-282-1955 and ask for the Food Safety Division. Explain your scenario and they will walk you through the process.
