My friend told me to slice jalapeno peppers, put in sterilized jar, cover with vinegar, and screw on the lid. I did that and have stored them in the fridg. How long are they good for? Thank you. Sharon

Hello,

From the description you have shared about the recipe, i believe you haven't processed you product in water bath caner. Its very essential to process canned products using recommended canning methods like water bath and pressure canning.
if you have not processed the jars, you need to use the product withing 8-10 days. Also, make sure to notice any kind of spoilage signs like cloudiness of brine or the off odor, bulging of can lid, molds or fungus etc. it is very important to not to use the product for extended period as it can lead to food-borne illnesses.

I am sharing the link here for the pickled jalapenos recipe,

Hope this helps.
