We planted an Ohio buckeye tree three years ago. We got it from the State House in Columbus in an Arbor Day promotion. It was about two feet tall. it has done well and is about five feet tall now. It shows no sign of buckeye nuts. How many years will it be before we have buckeyes? Thanks for your response.

Hi -

Most likely it will be four to five years before you see the tree blooming. I'm assuming it was a seedling when you received it. Thus, I would estimate five or more years to see a bloom.
