What are the most cold hardy mums for central MN? Where would I purchase both mums (and roses) that are very winter hardy (even for further north than here)? Also which roses have the best and largest rose hips for making jelly?-and where would I purchase those? The mums we purchased over the years are not really cold hardy to survive. thank you. David

Thank you for your questions regarding mums, roses and rosehips. There are many mum and rose varieties that are hardy in Minnesota. I have attached a link for each that lists characteristics of each. Your preference and local will depend on where you can purchase them. I have attached a third link that allows you to do a search of where the plants may be available. I have found no information that specifies what MN roses produce the most ideal rosehips for jam.
