We have problems with gladiola bulbs this year. The have white streak in leaves, flowers do not open, bulb dark color-little white bugs, stem mushy looking off white or brown depending how far gone the plant is. What is it and what can we do? Any other concerns from other gardeners with this issue

While Glads are subject to many different diseases and insect problems, this sounds like virus. A good photo of the streaks and of the insects would be helpful, but in the meantime see if any of the descriptions in the following links sound familiar:

If this is, indeed a viral disease there is nothing that can be done to save these plants. They should be dug up and all of the material destroyed - do not compost them.
