I have 2 hummingbird feeders which I fill with sugar water which are attracting more bees and apparently 'scaring'/keeping the birds away. We're thinking about putting something sweet (watermelon, cantaloupe) away from the feeders to attract the bees. Any suggestions? We love the hummingbirds and don't want to harm the bees.

Placing an alternative sugar source in the vicinity is a good idea.
