We would like to build a boardwalk across a wetlands area instead of using fill to make a pathway. Are their any instructions online or a pamphlet available that would have information on building a boardwalk?

There is lots of information on line about how to build a boardwalk across a wetland. I did a google search for "building a boardwalk across a wetlands".
I haven't done a boardwalk so I cannot recommend one set of instructions over another. I wish you all success. A walkway is an excellent way to conserve the site and enjoy it too.

Thank you for your efforts, but I, too, can just search Google. I was seeking something more technical, with a slant toward a reference from an agricultural or technical college or extension service. I guess I will check with the Master Gardeners from my home state that are more familiar with swamps and wetlands. Thanks anyway.

That would be best. If there is a managed wetland nearby they maybe able to give advice and references. . There are semester long classes devoted to the topic and the topic is more complex than can be covered adequately in this forum.
