Is it common for a walnut tree to drip sap? It's almost like a fine mist and and there are many, many bees in the tree. This tree is the neighbors but over hangs our driveway and right now we cannot keep our cars free of this sap. What can you tell me? Thank you! I will await your reply. Charlotte

Thank you for the question. It is probably honeydew from aphids in the walnut tree. For more information: www.ext.colostate.edu/pubs/insect/05511.html
