On my property I have a beautiful oak tree--probably 200 years old. Just this week I noticed an area on the trunk, about two feet from the bottom, that has a dark substance running down the trunk. It almost looks like black oil has been spilled on it. It's not sticky nor does it have an odor. Could you possibly tell me what this might be and how I could treat it. Thank you.
