Weeping Willow

Asked July 27, 2014, 9:29 PM EDT

I have a weeping willow about 10 years old. It is not dead but then again doesn't have the amount of leaves and fullness it had in the past. The bark around the tree is coming off from the trunk and there are some other splits in the branches. If I provide pictures, do you think you might be able to help?

There are a number of possible causes for the lack of leaves, bark coming off, and other symptoms you are seeing in your willow tree. Pictures would certainly be helpful. If you can include both a wide shot of the whole tree as well as close up shots of the areas where the bark is falling off or cracks/splits are occurring, that would be most helpful.
