Eradicating Mexican Petunia

Asked July 24, 2014, 10:23 PM EDT

Please tell me how to eradicate the invasive Mexican Petunia (Ruellia) without killing the rest of the vegetation and animals on my property on Lake Livingston. The stuff grows everywhere under any conditions. I have tilled it, pulled it up, poured vinegar on it, and cast voodoo spells on it. Nothing yet has gotten rid of it. Help!!!
