Distressed orange tree

My Orangetree is coming out of distress. I had to trim it back a lot because I lost almost a whole side of the tree. It had pest problems and now I've treated that. Can I fertilize it an extra time or two while it is regaining health?

Thank you for your question about your orange tree. The summer heat and intense light is really tough on plants, and even more so on a plant that has undergone severe pruning. I would hold off on fertilizing until just after Labor Day, but be sure to keep the tree well irrigated.
