Japanese Beetles are in our Everbearing raspberry patch. We do not want to use a spray on the fruit during ripening. Is there a safe method beside picking them off and dropping them in soap water? We are doing this several times a day. They have stripped our very young Buckeye tree and working on a small peach tree. They are spreading into our vegetables. We have used Captain Jack on the vegetables. We are exhausted.

There isn't any other way other than to pick them off. You might try to wash them off with a strong spray directed from your hose. Check to see if Captain Jack is labeled for raspberries. Jap Beetles are a temporary problem and will cycle through at some point.
