Can you identify this caterpillar/worm-like "insect"? Over the past few weeks we have been finding them in the bathroom along side the air vent. They are about a cm long and are brownish-blackish in color.

Although the image is not very distinct, the worm-like insect in the photo is probably a carpet beetle larva. There are several species. You can learn about them at the following websites:
