I have a very large phlox garden that always bloom beautifully. This year the plants have flower buds, but are not blooming. Only one or two buds actually develop fully and open. What could the problem be and how can I treat it?

Since your phlox has bloomed in the past, there has to be a recent development that is causing the problem. The most likely situation is that the plants are getting too much fertilizer (especially nitrogen) which will cause good leafy growth but will not promote flower blossoming.
