I have a newer lilac bush that is quite small yet. I have been keeping an eye on it to make sure it's happy and healthy. The other day I saw there were multiple holes in the leaves as if someone used a hole punch on them. I didn't notice any bugs on the leaves. I've searched the web to no avail. Would you please help me? Also, what can I use to "fix" the issue?

The holes may be caused by leaf cutter bees. If that's what it is I don't think it's likely to kill the plant, just make the leaves a little ugly. Watch your plants for a while and see of you notice the bees.
