Can i split this plant? My husband says we cant but i thought you could split any plant.

Yes, you can split it. Tall sedums like this are best split in the spring before they start getting tall, but you could do it at any time as long as you keep it watered. Sedums don't need a lot of water, so you have to be careful to give them enough to recover from the shock without drowning them. They will be floppy.
