How do I get rid of crown rot on my hosta. I dug them up. Is there a chemical that works on the soil?

I am so sorry that you have crown rot. It is a terrible disease that kills many types of plants. You may wish to remove the plants and soil so it does not spread throughout your soil. Crown rot is a fungus. Avoid spreading soil that may be contaminated with sclerotia to other areas. Rinse the soil off your tool and tread of shoes before leaving the quarantine area. Dip tools in a 10 percent bleach solution. http://www.uaex.edu/publications/pdf/FSA-7574.pdf http://negreenhouseupdate.info/photos/sclerotium-crown-rot-hosta
