They hide in moist places during the day, so spraying for them is not really an option. it does take a multi-pronged approach.

Depends on the plants affected. There is a bait called Sluggo plus, that you sprinkle on the ground, containing spinosad (organic).

If you are diligent with trapping, you can really reduce the population. You can use rolled up cardboard, small tuna cans with bacon grease, small pieces of hose. You would lay these out where you see the earwigs and then check and empty them daily.

They like moisture, so do not overwater, and pull mulch away from the base of plants.
