Cukes and squash leaves in my veg. garden are peppered with holes, yet I see no insects or gnawing critters. What's attacking my veggies? Is there any remedy? Photo of both types of plants attached. I appreciate any suggestions or guidance you can give. Thanks.

From your photos it looks like the foliage of the squash and cucumber have been subject to some type of beetle feeding. We cannot say for sure what beetle. You will have to monitor the plants and look for possible cucumber beetles and egg masses. See our Profile on this insect pest for more information and control. http://extension.umd.edu/growit/insects/cucumber-beetles-spotted-or-striped
If the damage continues, it is not too late to replant.
