Pueblo County Colorado transplanting avocado tree

Thank you for your question.

Unfortunately, avocado trees do not grow outside in Colorado (although, there are advertisments for avocado trees that withstand lower temperatures on the market). If you plant it outside in the Colorado elements alone and unprotected the tree will not withstand the lower temperatures of winter.

If you no longer have the room to keep the plant in your home you may want to consider donating it.

Again, thank you for your question.

Hi Kerry P-Thnx for you reply!
Donating sounds like an idea
and who would I donate it to? Not someone in CO. I be a thinkin-Any suggestions?

It shows that you live in Pueblo County. Is that correct? Maybe an indoor, bright sunny place that has lots of room.

A museum?
The zoo?
One of those big beautiful buildings in the downtown area?
The mall?

A place near you, so you can visit!
