black spots on european wild ginger

I love love love european wild ginger but my small plant has black spots on the leaves; i guess this is rust. the other plants in the area are very healthy....what can i do????? semi-shade, no compost, near a walkway. thanks for any help you can give me

Wild ginger plants can be infected with rust which may be treated using a sulfur based agent. However, if that does not cure the problem, the infected plant should be removed and disposed - do not compost the infected plant.
