Leaf curling at this time of year is often due to herbicide drift. Is this a possibility? With our hot weather, even if a weed killer (herbicide) was applied on a calm day; the herbicide can volatize and then move on air currents to cause damage to nontarget plants. Other causes of leaf curling could be a virus disease (no cure, remove and destroy plants) or maybe aphids. With aphids, you would find the aphids inside the curled up leaves and/or the leaves would feel quite sticky. You might wish to take a sample to your local Extension office or send some pictures of the plants to Ask an Expert or to your local Extension office. Thank-you for using eXtension.
