I was given seeds for a variety of perennials last fall, however I received them too late to scatter (there was already snow on the ground). Is it okay to scatter them now or should I plant them in small pots to get started or should I wait to scatter them earlier this fall? There are seeds for poppies, hollyhocks, cosmos, larkspur, painted daisy and gaillardia. Thank you for your help!

Go ahead and scatter them, it is fun to see the combinations that chance gives us. Some of these are bi-annuals so will only show you green this year then bloom next year.
Have a nice spring!
