Recently I had hardwood timber removed from my property. A lot of useable wood remains that can be used for firewood. Do you recommend that I contact a firewood salesperson to come in and harvest this wood and if so, is there a financial arrangement that is typical for these situations?

If you plan to do this I would recommend you get more than one offer. You may be surprised at the differences in what people are willing to offer.I'm not aware of the financial arrangements associated with a situation like this. It probably would be best to contact a private forester or your local Ohio Department of Natural Resources Service Forester.I also suggest you contact Dave Apsley, OSU Extension Forestry Specialist, at apsley.1@osu.edu.
