I have day lilies and oriental lilies. Do I need to fertilize these? If so, what type of fertilizer should I use and how much per plant. Also, how much sun per day does an azalea plant need?

Hennepin County Minnesota lilies

Fertilize the soil each spring with a phosphorus-rich formula such as 5–10–10. Slow-release fertilizers work well. Always follow label instructions when applying fertilizer. If there is any doubt on the amount to use try 1/2 recommended rate.
Evergreen azaleas do well in partial shade with some wind protection. Deciduous varieties flower more profusely in full sun.
