Asked May 13, 2014, 9:24 PM EDT

Hello, Our gorgeous 15' blue atlas turned completely brown this winter. We live in the most Southern part of Ontario and our winter this past year was the worst in over 100 years. We want to know if you precious tree is dead? The branches are not brittle. Looking forward to your opinion. Thank you for your help.

I am sorry to say that your cedar tree is absolutely dead with no chance (except for a miracle) of a future life. As you mentioned, the low temperatures of this past winter killed many plants in eastern North America.
