Is it legal to cut down diamond willow trees and/or trim off the branches? And if so, what would be the best kind of tree would make good walking sticks to carve? Thank you. Pam

Thank you and what about on a nature preserve?

Oh, you just changed the game!
You must have permision to cut on private property (other than your own), nature preserves, state parks and road sides. I guess I should also include state & federal lands.
