A pair of geese return to my pond every year to nest. This year, we first saw the goslings 3 days ago, when there were 6 of them. Two days ago there were 5. Early this morning there were 4, and now there are none. The parents are wandering around, no longer protecting the nest or pond area. We have no bodies. What could have happened to the babies? Thanks for your help.

We are not experts in wildlife and it is hard to say what happened to the young geese. It may be helpful to view the Fact Sheet 612 Canada Geese U of Maryland. Go to Google and type in the above information.

You should contact the Wildlife Information Line for more information at 1-877-463-6497.
