What animals eat invasive plants? We have a lot of weeds on our property in Eagle County?

Hi Janet,

The first step to controlling your weeds is figuring out what weeds you have. Some weeds have biological control agents that can help you, while goats or sheep might eat others.
Other things you might want to consider before getting animals include:
Do you have enough water?
Do you have fencing to control their movement?
if the animals do eat the weeds, what is the next step? Planting grass or alfalfa, or a native seed mix?
Do you have a place to keep the animals at night?

If you would like any further help please let me know,

Good luck with the weeds!
