Should a concentrated roundup solution, such as used for honeysuckle killing work on shrubs like purple plum and spirea if applied to the cut stems it is not possible for us to dig out the 14 year old plants that are overgrown We are senior citizens attempting to replace the vegetation on either side of the pictured bed we thank you for your suggestions

Roundup / glyphosate products vary in concentrations. You will need to look at the product label to see if the product is labeled for purple plum or spirea. If the product is labeled for purple plum or spirea follow the label directions. Using a herbicide in a manner inconsistent with the label is prohibited.
