hello, I am wondering if there are any universities in Maryland that have planted and continue to maintain an orchard, or even a few fruit trees? If not, do you know of any universities in other states that have tried something like this? Thank you, Garrett

The University of Maryland has four research farms, one in Western Maryland, one in Southern Maryland, one on the Eastern Shore, and one in Central Maryland. The first three have fruit tree orchards for research projects. If you want more information, contact David Myers, a Senior Extension Agent and Fruit/Vegetable Specialist. His contact information: myersrd@umd.edu 410 222-3906.
