Our yard has had more and more "bumps" each year. Very frustrated. We want a nice flat yard and have it fertilized by a company. There are tunnels that are about an inch by inch wide with small amount of dirt outside the hole. Not sure if they're voles, moles or what? I want to kill them as detering will just have them in another spot or at a neighbors lawn. What can we do to get rid of whatever is damaging our lawn? 10 years ago the lawn was fine..now when you cut grass it's like tilling it's so bumpy!?!?

I know how frustrating uninvited yard critters are! This first link has info that may help you identify the culprit, and that's important since you need to know what you have to know what might get rid of them:http://www.extension.umn.edu/garden/yard-garden/wildlife/whats-digging-holes/

If there are moles, here is a site about trapping. You can also search on U's Extension website for how to deal with other garden pests: http://www.extension.umn.edu/garden/yard-garden/wildlife/tips-for-mole-trappers/
