Buds have already formed on knockout roses, wait till after the first blooms open, then give them a light pruning (cutting just below the old bloom) to stimulate new growth and more blooms.Hybrid tea roses are cut back when dormant to about 18",Prune the old bloom to a 5 leaf lateral, this will encourage more blooms to develop throughout the summer.
According to recent hummingbird migration maps, they should be arriving between April 26th to May 9th in your area.
